Your eyes and good vision are the most important tools in your job and all the other daily activities of your life.
But do you, like many people, take them for granted?
Regular optometric examinations are an important part of routine preventive health care.
Many eye and vision conditions present no obvious symptoms. Therefore, individuals are often unaware that a problem exists.
Early diagnosis and treatment are important for maintaining good vision and when possible preventing permanent vision loss.
- A comprehensive examination should be performed on all children at about age 6 (or sooner if you think there may be a problem).
- A test every two years during school and up to age 40 is recommended.
- Annual examinations, over age 50 is the order of the day.
